Portland Square

Portland Square is three floors of dining at King & Portland. INK Entertainment brought us in to launch the two new restaurants inside it as one destination: distinct, but unmistakably connected.

Honey Chinese on the third floor. Golden hours, golden flavours. We framed it with bold, late-night energy and modern Chinatown cues.

Primadonna on the fourth floor and rooftop. Red sauce classics and the dirtiest martini on King West, told through candid, film-style storytelling.

Opening night was a guided walk through every floor. 738 guests, 75+ stories shared, and a steady stream of content from the first frame.

Then we kept the tables full of creators. 37 hosted dinners across both restaurants in three weeks, reaching a combined 1.4M following and 500K+ views.

In the week after opening, the three accounts added 2,500+ followers. $700 in launch ads reached 54K+ people at $0.22 an interaction, and Toronto Life called the corner King West's newest hotspot.

In July 2025, INK Entertainment opened Portland Square at 600 King St W: three floors, three distinct experiences, one address. Honey Chinese took the third floor, Primadonna the fourth floor and rooftop, with The Portland Room for private events below. INK brought us in to launch it all as one destination.

We started with community. We built a guest list of West End creators, local tastemakers and key media, and produced an opening night designed as a guided walk through every floor, so guests experienced both restaurants in one night.

After launch we ran social strategy, paid media and influencer partnerships for both restaurants. Honey got bold, late-night energy and modern Chinatown cues. Primadonna leaned into nostalgic Italian-American warmth. We managed creators end to end, from seeding and hosted dinners to repeat visits, made the graphics and campaign creative used across social, paid and in-house, and took it to the street with wheatpaste.

The result was sustained visibility, not an opening-week spike. The corner became a West End go-to for dinner and late nights, and the creative framework keeps both restaurants present as the neighbourhood conversation moves.
